Rookd, the trust layer for housing

Rookd is the trust layer for housing. Verified landlords. Verified tenants. Your move. Your future.

What Rookd is

The housing crisis is not only about building more - it is about unlocking the rooms and spaces that already exist by creating trust between strangers. When people trust each other, unused rooms become housing solutions. Rookd creates the awareness infrastructure that makes this possible.

How verification works

Rookd verifies every user through email verification, phone verification, and a government ID check to confirm identity. Property ownership verification through county assessor records, proving landlords actually own what they are renting, is coming.

Where Rookd started

Rookd was founded in Breckenridge, Colorado, and starts in Summit County. It grew out of the Summit County Roommate Madness Facebook group, which today has 3,000+ members. Rookd is operated by Transparency Technologies, LLC.

What RookdLookd is

RookdLookd is a free address check. Found a listing on Zillow, Craigslist, or Facebook Marketplace? Check the address against real county and state assessor records before you pay. Own the property? See the public record on your own address. No account needed.
